WORKSHOPS AT PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN BERLIN|
There is quite a high potential of intercultural conflicts at schools with a high percentage of students with migration backgrounds. One of the subjects in German schools that leads often to difficult situations in classes and on the school-yards is the Middle East conflict.
AGE International got engaged by a public project execution organization to build a concept and thereafter carry out the supervision on special workshops held at schools in Berlin.
During an intensive phase of preparation first a professional and experienced team of Israeli and Palestinian conflict facilitators got established, all living in Berlin and speaking German. The team planned the special concept for a workshop of three days that thereafter got always jointly moderated by a Palestinian and an Israeli facilitator with numerous school classes in Berlin, 2008/9. The project work got to an end with the closure of the specific public funding line for this kind of educational activities.
